He got a standing ovation. No wonder.
JJ Valaya presented a perfectly clean, masterfully tailored collection that was a tribute to the works of Georges Remi, the creator of the famous comicbook character, Tintin.
It was a three-part collection -- Prisoners Of The Sun, set in Peru; Bashi Bazouk, with its Turkish references and influence; and Tintin In Tibet -- revealed on a snow-lined ramp and floor-to-ceiling drapes at the mouth of the ramp.
With little Tintins running all over the ramp area and among the audience, JJ unveiled his ensembles in linen, silk embellished by embroidery or crushed and crinkled fabrics.
JJ's line of separates are available between Rs 2,000 and Rs 19,000.
