Model Joey Mathews enters in a fine cotton skirt and shirt. The work is inspired by the handloom weavers of Kutch and Punjab.

"These days," says Ritu Kumar, "we are so caught up with embellishments that I thought it was time to concentrate on handloom. It has taken a backseat over the years, but this white cotton is straight off the loom."

This is the first time that Ritu has stressed on handloom work at her show.
