India's premier fashion event, The Lakme India Fashion Week 2005, opened on April 20.
With 61 designers (including Shahzad Kalim, winner of the reality show, Lakme Fashion House, who will intern at the design store, Versace, in Milan), 48 models, the by-invitation-only event will be held at Delhi's The Grand.
It is primarily meant as a trade platform for Indian and foreign buyers.
