Piano man in love with India
For pianist Eli Yamin, India is family; his adopted daughter is from Orissa.
The long list of players he has played with include trumpet stalwart Wynton Marsalis and saxophone star David Sanchez. Yamin, the director of Jazz at Lincoln Center's Middle School Jazz Academy, is also co-founder and artistic director of the Jazz Drama Program, a nonprofit organisation that uses the language of jazz to tell stories relevant to children's lives.
