Bhoomika Chawla made waves with her very first Bollywood film, Tere Naam, in 2003, opposite Salman Khan.

A star down South already, Bhoomika's other Hindi films -- Run (with Abhishek Bachchan) and Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahan (with Salman again) -- sank without a trace.

Raja Sen caught up with Bhoomika on the sets of her upcoming film, Silsilay, directed by Khalid Mohamed. Excerpts from a conversation:

How is it in Bollywood compared to films down South?

Almost the same, except that I'm much more comfortable with the Hindi language. Also, in the South, they start early, and on time. Besides that, it's all the same.

But you get more tantrum time here, right?

Yeah, I guess! (laughs) I don't know, it's just... fun! Actually, I've enjoyed working in both places.
