Sharing The Cast

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, playing George Osborne in Nair's Vanity Fair, played the memorable starring role of Joe, the coach, in Chadha's 2002 Bend It Like Beckham.

Naveen Andrews, playing Mr Balraj, Namrata Shirodkar's love interest, in Chadha's Bride And Prejudice, has essayed parts in several previous Nair collaborations, most notably in her 1996 Kama Sutra and her television film, My Own Country: A Doctor's Story, based on Dr Abraham Verghese's memorable memoir.

Indira Verma, who played Maya alongside Andrews in Nair's Kama Sutra, now rejoins him in the cast of Chadha's Bride…, playing Miss Bingley.

Also, experience cannot be discounted, a fine example of which is Natasha Little, who plays Lady Jane Sheepshanks in Nair's Vanity Fair. Natasha has played the lead role of Becky Sharp in a 1998 Vanity Fair miniseries.
