Hitting back at Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for calling Manmohan Singh a 'weak' Prime Minister, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has said that prime ministers are not expected to be wrestlers but to deliver goods.
"Prime Ministers are not expected to be wrestlers. A Prime Minister is expected to deliver goods. For the last five years, Dr Manmohan Singh has provided leadership to a complex coalition," he told NDTV.
Addressing an election rally in Raigarh in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, Modi had also referred to the bomb blasts in Assam from where the Prime Minister is elected to the Rajya Sabha, and said that the government had failed on the security front.
