In Tamil Nadu, an obviously delighted Muthuvel Karunanidhi celebrates with his nephew Union IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran (right) and others at the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party headquarters in Chennai.
And while the DMK headquarters was abuzz, AIADMK chief Jayalalitha's home at Poes Garden wore a deserted look.
