Will Buddha have the last laugh?

Buddhadev Bhattacharya, Chief Minister of West Bengal, has been campaigning in North Bengal from April 30 to May 6. Known for his dynamism and reformist approach, the leader has braved the district's unpredictable weather and managed to draw huge crowds at each of his meetings.

Be it Naxalbari or Islampur near Siliguri or constituencies in Malda or Murshidabad, people have been turning up to listen, as Bhattacharya speaks of pathbreaking policies to attract Foreign Direct Investment to the state, ways of changing the infamous work culture and his lofty dreams of a new Bengal.
