Hitendra Thakur: Bhai ka brother
The independent candidate from Vasai has declared his personal worth as Rs 12.80 crore but is not exactly known for his moolah. His opponents credit his three victories to his being the brother of TADA detenue Bhai Thakur and muscle power. They endlessly point to his alleged involvement in land-grab and other criminal activities in the farflung suburb of Mumbai.
Thakur's affidavit makes mention of his rather unusual life but the MLA would prefer you see his 'good work' in the area.
This time, he is also counting on the Congress-NCP combine to ensure a fourth term.
