Chhagan Bhujbal is not used to being called an outsider. It's the role of an insider that he has mastered over the years.
He was an insider when he split Bal Thackeray's Shiv Sena and joined the Congress party in 1991.
He helped Sharad Pawar build the Nationalist Congress Party after the latter was expelled from the Congress. He became deputy chief minister when the Congress-NCP alliance came to power in 1999.
But now, contesting the assembly election from Yeola in Nashik district, Bhujbal is an outsider in more ways than one.
He has set a punishing pace for himself. Today [October 6], he will be visiting 22 villages and addressing several rallies
