South side story
Milind Deora, newly-elected Congress member of Parliament from Mumbai South, is taken out in procession soon after the election results were announced. At 27 years, Deora could easily be the youngest MP in the new Lok Sabha. He defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party's sitting MP, Jaywantiben Mehta.
The Congress party's victory in Mumbai South, the country's most affluent constituency, shows the BJP's India Shining campaign did not go down well with the voters.
