Javed Abidi, convener of the Disabled Rights Group, is contesting the Lok Sabha election as an Independent candidate from the New Delhi parliamentary constituency.

His opponents include sitting MP and Union Tourism and Culture Minister Jagmohan of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Delhi Assembly Speaker Ajay Maken of the Congress party.
