Back in action
Shiv Sena Bal Thackeray cast his vote on April 26, after a gap of eight years. The Bombay high court had disenfranchised him for six years in 1996, for seeking votes in the name of religion in the 1995 Maharashtra assembly elections. To Thackeray's left is the party candidate from Mumbai North-West, Sanjay Nirupam, who is pitted against the Congress party's Sunil Dutt. To Thackeray's right is son Uddhav Thackeray.
