'I'm thrilled to be part of Indian democracy'

Sarika Bharti, 21

was thrilled when I cast my vote in the assembly election. I felt I had become part of Indian democracy. I am not only going to cast my vote in the Lok Sabha polls but I am also going to persuade my friends to cast their votes as well.

Vajpayeeji is a statesman and a beloved leader of millions and millions of Indian people. I know that the NDA government is making tall claims about what it has achieved. I know for a fact that all these claims may not necessarily be true. But they have done at least 25 to 30 percent work as against nothing by previous governments. So I am going to vote for stability and development.

I feel the youth of India should come forward and take part in the elections. I do not expect hundred percent participation. But even if 70 percent of young voters cast their vote then they will change the destiny of the nation.

As told to Onkar Singh
