The Master Blaster will also start afresh following a minor controversy which forced the team management to ask him to withdraw from the
Masters Twenty20 match in Wellington on Friday because he would have played alongside Hamish Marshall, the former New Zealand batsman who featured in the unauthorised ICL last year.
Tendulkar was to turn out for the New Zealand Cricket Players' Association (NZCPA) but was pulled out ahead of the match.
