How Tendulkar's wax figure was created

India's record-breaking batsman Sachin Tendulkar is the first Indian sports personality to be revealed at the Madame Tussauds museum in London and the first figure to be launched overseas!

The new figure flew over 7,000 kms to Mumbai for a "meeting" with the real cricketing legend and Tendulkar was delighted to come face to face with his likeness at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai on Monday.

The revered cricketing legend, who recently achieved the highest number of runs in Test history, had a sitting with the Madame Tussauds studios team who travelled to Mumbai to capture a catalogue of reference photographs and over 200 precise measurements.

The batting maestro will join the ranks of sporting greats past and present from David Beckham to Mohammed Ali, Tiger Woods to Jesse Owens in Madame Tussauds interactive sports Zone.
