Bob was born here to Clarence [who captained Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy] and Charlie Woolmer.
His house in Civil Lines is now a dilapidated structure, and the hospital, in which he was born, is also in similar state owing to lack of facilities and, to an extent, funds.
When we visited the hospital, there were only three patients and the authorities confessed they are struggling to cope with modern-day demands.
