After receiving a lot of criticism from the International Cricket Council for sub-standard pitches in the country, the BCCI has finally woken up to the problem.
Pitch curators from all over the country attended the two-day All India Curators' annual seminar in Rajkot, where were educated about the preparation of sporting wickets.
"We want to educate our pitch curator as much as possible in aiming to prepare sporting wickets in India," BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said.
The BCCI drew flak from the ICC for producing a sub-standard pitch at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, where uneven bounce saw the India-South Africa Test match folding inside three days in April.
