January 9, 2008

  • In a day of fast developments, with the International Cricket Council replacing umpire Steve Bucknor with Billy Bowden and charging Brad Hogg for offensive onfield behaviour, the Board maintained its tough stance on the racial abuse charge against the Indian off-spinner.

After the meeting in New Delhi, BCCI Treasurer, N Srinivasan, read out a prepared statement to say that the decision against Harbhajan was unacceptable and that the tour by the Indian team would continue.
