Even as Khan and Zinta hogged the limelight, Vijay Mallya, the owner of the Bangalore team, shunned it for once. He had recently been in the spotlight with his Force India F1 team and that might be the reason as to why he kept a low profile.
He bought Anil Kumble, Zaheer Khan, Jacques Kallis, Wasim Jaffer, Mark Boucher, Cameron White, Nathan Bracken, Dale Steyn and Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
