Sachin Tendulkar will miss the forthcoming one-day series against hosts Sri Lanka due to an elbow injury.
Tendulkar, who jarred his left elbow while attempting a catch on the second day of the third Test in Colombo, could be sidelined between two to three weeks.
Chennai's Subramaniam Badrinath will replace him for the five-match series starting on August 18.
Tendulkar had only returned from injury for the three-Test series, having missed last month's Asia Cup in Pakistan.
