South Africa opener Graeme Smith hits a boundary during day one of the third Test against India at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, on Friday.
The South African openers, Smith and Neil McKenzie, played cautiously to give their team a solid start.

Earlier, Mahendra Singh Dhoni became the first Indian wicketkeeper to captain the Test team after Anil Kumble failed a fitness test hours before the start of the match. Yuvraj Singh and fit-again Ishant Sharma returning to the side in place of R P Singh and Irfan Pathan.
