Tendulkar survived two chances at the start of his innings. The veteran survived a caught behind appeal and replays hinted he had nicked the ball, and a close leg before appeal, both turned down by umpire Suresh Shastri.
He hit seven boundaries in his 119-ball knock before he was run out by a direct hit from Brett Lee.
