Left-arm paceman RP Singh made most of his opportunity as he picked the early wickets of Javed Omar and Habibul Bashar.
RP Singh, who stayed back in Bangladesh for the Test series after S Sreesanth was ruled out with an injury, gave India a confident start with the two wickets and then added he scalp of Mohammed Ashraful to finish at three for 45.
