Mohammad Sami (left) celebrates after dismissing Gautam Gambhir (centre) during the first day of the third Test between India and Pakistan at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Saturday.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, India were 65 runs for the loss of four wickets at the lunch break after Sami triggered the collapse with Gambhir's dismissal.
But the seamer struggled thereafter and the only solace he got was when he scalped Yuvraj Singh towards the end of the day.
Yuvraj Singh (169) and Sourav Ganguly (125 not out) steered India to a comfortable 365 for five at close of play.
