India vs Pakistan, 2nd Test - Day 4
December 3, 2007
India skipper Anil Kumble's strategy of employing part-time bowler V V S Laxman bore fruit as Sami (left) tried to loft a flighted delivery from the Hyderabadi but it ended in the hands of Wasim Jaffar at mid-off. It was Laxman's second wicket in Test cricket.
Sami faced 123 balls and hit two fours and a six as Pakistan were reduced to 448 for seven.
However, he played his part to perfection, scoring 38 vital runs and adding 91 runs for the seventh wicket with Misbah-ul Haq.
