Bell, who came to the crease after Matt Prior was caught at mid-on by Dravid off Zaheer Khan for 19 in the 11th over, reached his century off exactly 100 balls.
The England batsman had one let-off when he skied leg-spinner Piyush Chawla to long-on in the 30th over but the ball fell just short of the in-rushing Dinesh Karthik.
