New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming walks back to the pavilion after being trapped leg before wicket by Chaminda Vaas during the ICC Champions Trophy league match against Sri Lanka at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai, on Friday.
Fleming, who played a match-winning knock of 89 against South Africa, was dismissed for a duck with just 14 on the board.
New Zealand, electing to bat, were all out for 165 in 49.2 overs.
Set an asking rate of 3.32 to win, Sri Lanka hit up 166-3 in 36 overs and won by seven wickets.
