Sri Lankan opener Sanath Jayasuriya hits out during the ICC Champions Trophy Group A match against Pakistan at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, on Tuesday.
The left-hander flayed the Pakistani bowlers all around the park during a blazing innings of 48 from 35 balls.
He dominated a 63-run opening stand with fellow left-hander Upul Tharanga (38), hitting five boundaries and two sixes.
Pakistan though fought back with spirit and determination, a day after Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif were sent home for failing tests for the steroid nandrolone, to shock in-form Sri Lankans by four wickets.
