Young opening batsman Upul Tharanga stole the limelight with a sparkling century that guided Sri Lanka to 302 for 8 against Bangladesh, in the first qualifying match of the ICC Champions Trophy in Mohali on Saturday.
He put on 67 for the first wicket with the experienced Sanath Jayasuriya (in picture), who was the first to go, trapped leg before by Syed Rasel for 31. The team score then was 67 for one.
