Australia opener Adam Gilchrist hits out during the fifth one-day international against South Africa at the Wanderers stadium in Johannesburg, on Sunday.
Gilchrist provided Australia a blazing start, scoring 55 from 44 balls, putting on 97 runs for the opening wicket with Simon Katich.
Batting first, Australia produced a magical batting display to post a world record score of 434 for 4 in their 50 overs.
South Africa in reply hit a world record 438 for nine in the highest-scoring one-day international in history to beat Australia by one wicket and win the series 3-2.
