India vs England, 1st Test

Complete coverage | Scorecard | Match report

Matthew Hoggard appeals successfully for a lbw decision against India captain Rahul Dravid.

With the angle and the in-swing the ball looked like going down the leg side, but umpire Aleem Dar upheld the appeal to start the slide in the Indian batting line-up.

India lost five wickets in the morning session and went for lunch at 190-6 after resuming at a healthy 136-1. They ended day 3 in the first Test against England on 322 for 9, thanks to a strong fightback by Mohammad Kaif and Anil Kumble.
