India's fast bowler S Sreesanth claimed the first wicket to fall on day 2, when he had Matthew Hoggard caught behind by M S Dhoni.
The England tail wagged bravely as they fought out the first session to go in for lunch at a healthy 360 for nine in the first innings.
Paul Collingwood hit a maiden unbeaten century as England amassed 393 in their first innings on day 2 in the first Test at Nagpur on Thursday. In reply, India were 136 for 1 at stumps, with Wasim Jaffer and Rahul Dravid unbeaten on 73 and 40 respectively.
