Fine knocks by Chris Gayle and Daren Ganga enabled the West Indies end Day 1 in the third Test against India on a high, on Thursday.
After rain had delayed play, Gayle (in picture) gave the hosts a steady start, slamming 83 off 127 balls, with eight fours and five sixes.
