England vs Board President's XI

Complete coverage

Suresh Raina, whose good showing in the ODIs in Pakistan was rewarded with a Test place only on Thursday, knocked 62 runs in 119 balls, which also included an 86-run partnership with Gambhir for the third wicket.

The left-hander had a reprieve on 37, when he gave left-arm spinner Monty Panesar the charge, but wicketkeeper Geraint Jones missed the stumping opportunity.
