Match report | Scorecard

Captain Michael Vaughan holds aloft the Ashes urn after England regained it on day five of the fifth and final Test against Australia at the Brit Oval, in London, on Monday.

England won the Ashes for the first time since 1987 after the Test ended in a draw, giving the hosts a 2-1 victory in the series.

Australia faced four balls of their second innings before the players left the pitch because of bad light with the score on four for no wicket. The umpires returned to the middle minutes later and removed the bails to signal the end of the match.
