Match Report | Scorecard | Complete coverage

Sachin Tendulkar, returning to the international arena after an injury lay-off, top-scored with 93.

The 32-year-old, who underwent elbow surgery in May, played a few vintage shots after captain Rahul Dravid chose to bat.

Tendulkar, who struck nine fours and two sixes and faced 96 balls, wore an elbow support but showed no discomfort, playing many lofted shots to frustrate the Sri Lankan bowlers.
