Pathan, playing his first match on home ground, the IPCL Sports Complex in Baroda, turned in an impressive all-round performance as India beat Sri Lanka by five wickets to win the series 6-1.
Pathan scalped three wickets and along with rookie R P Singh helped India restrict Sri Lanka to 244 for nine in 50 overs.
He was adjudged the man of the match for the final ODI.
