Match report | | Ball-by-ball commentary
Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal hits out during the morning session on the fifth day of the first Test at Mohali, on Saturday.
Pakistan, who were reduced to 257 for 6 on Friday were heading for defeat before Akmal joined Abdul Razzaq, who curbed his instinctive attacking style, to frustrate India's bowlers while steadily accumulating runs.
Pakistan eventually declared their second innings at 496 for nine in the final session. India, set an improbable target of 293 from 25 overs, reached 85 for one when the match was called off with eight overs remaining.
