Preparing for battle

India captain Sourav Ganguly (left) and his Pakistani counterpart Inzamam-ul Haq (right) unveil the TVS Trophy on the eve of the first Test at Mohali, on Monday.

Only 1330 tickets remain unsold for the first match of the three-Test series between India and Pakistan. The superb ticket sales mean that for the first time Mohali will have a full house for a Test.

Ganguly has rated India-Pakistan as the biggest rivalry in world cricket.

"The Indo-Pak rivalry is the greatest in the world, bigger that the Ashes too. Simply because there are more people who come out to watch the cricket. The teams are evenly matched as well.

"Yes, I think it will. This is more than a series. The friendship is a building process and we are doing all we can," he added.
