Shane Warne made a memorable Ashes debut with a delivery that has come to be known as the 'Ball of the Century'. He bowled Mike Gatting with his first ball in a Ashes series in 1993. The ball hit the pitch, exploded almost square and flicked the off bail.
He's gone on to become the greatest wicket-taker in history.
Credited with reviving the dying art of leg-spin, he is also one of the most controversial players.
A recent tabloid exposé led to the break-up of his ten-year marriage.
"Obviously this has been a difficult period of my life," Warne said in a press conference on Monday, "but I've just got to deal with it and get on. I just hope to enjoy the series and make it one of my best ever."
