Ashes: 3rd Test, day four

Match report | Scorecard

Australia, chasing England's first innings of 444, had resumed on 264 for seven and Shane Warne and Jason Gillespie extended their partnership to 86.

Warne, on 90, pulled Simon Jones straight to deep square leg to hasten Australia's finish at 302.

Warne, who frustrated the home side for just over three hours, has yet to score a Test century. His innings at Old Trafford was the second time he has got to the 90s.

He was dismissed for 99 against New Zealand in Perth in 2001.
