Sanath Jayasuriya became the fourth batsman to score 10,000 one-day runs while helping Sri Lanka to an imposing total of 281 for nine in the final of the triangular series against India at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday.

Jayasuriya smashed 67 of 77 balls, providing the foundation for the total with an entertaining knock which featured nine boundaries.

He reached his 10,000-run landmark with a pull for four off Irfan Pathan.

Sri Lanka restricted India to 263 for 9 to clinch a 18-run victory in the final of the IndianOil Cup tri-series.
