Sourav Ganguly celebrated 10,000 one-day international runs during a hardworking 51 but India succumbed to a four-wicket loss to Sri Lanka in the fourth league match of the IndianOil Cup at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Wednesday.

Ganguly also opened the innings with Virender Sehwag and built an opening partnership of 67 with the right-hander.

A 50-run partnership with V V S Laxman followed but India lost their way in the middle overs as the scoring rate dropped and they lost five wickets in quick succession.
