The Wisden Cricketer of the Year 2002 scored six Test hundreds - all came against sides from the subcontinent and five of them came in the winning cause. A 161 in the second innings of the second Test against Sri Lanka, after Australia had been dismissed for just 120 in the first innings, defined this elegant but determined cricketer's year.
