India vs Australia, Third Test, Day 3

At the start of the third day India were trailing Australia by 252 runs, with five wickets in hand and Parthiv Patel and Mohammad Kaif on the crease.

Parthiv tried to play a defensive shot to a delivery from Shane Warne, but only managed to edge it to Matthew Hayden in the slips.

India were all out for a paltry 185. The visitors took a commanding 213-run first innings lead but chose against enforcing the follow-on.

At close of play, Australia were 202 for 3 in their second innings.
