A streetfighter called Miandad

Never has cricket seen his like: a street fighter in the truest sense of the word. Perhaps the greatest compliment you can pay to the genius called Mohammad Javed Miandad Khan is that he wanted to win by hook or by crook.

A generation of Indians grew up loathing him. From the last ball six in Sharjah, which cost India a title, to an average of 52.57 in Tests, the feisty middle-order batsman almost never let Pakistan down, particularly against the boys from across the border.

A look at the colourful career of arguably Pakistan's greatest batsman.
