Sourav Ganguly played sensibly to make 79 and help India reach a position of strength in the do-or-die encounter.

Ganguly put on a 134 for the second-wicket with Sehwag.

Ganguly was caught by Upul Chandana off Lasith Malinga to leave India at a healthy 240 for 4 in the 46th over.
