Farewell Hooksey

The scoreboard at the Adelaide Oval pays tribute to former Australian cricketer David Hookes, who died last week after suffering head injuries in an assault.

An estimated 15,000 mourners gathered for the funeral on Tuesday to pay their last respects to the departed soul.

Victoria captain Darren Berry said the Bushrangers will sorely miss their coach.

"David has been both a friend and a mentor to us and we are devastated by his passing," he said.
